Pecan Hollow Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Plano, Texas.
Pecan Hollow Golf Course first opened for play in 1973. The course was designed by Don January. Pecan Hollow has been a longstanding favorite of the metroplex for years. After a year long renovation led byDonald Weibring, Pecan Hollow reopened to the public on November 1st, 2011.
Pecan Hollow now offers a par-71, 7026 yard championship golf course. The new course has five sets of tees for every level of player. The back tees are 7026, then 6567, middle tees are 6012, then 5265 and the forward tees are 4748.The course has fast greens that roll true and smooth and white sand bunkers guarding greens and fairways.
Also of note is the new practice facilities. Their driving range has been expanded, and is now lighted at night to offer everyone time to practice. They also have a 5 hole short course (five holes that vary from 33 to 62 yards), a chipping green with three practice bunkers, and a 14000 square foot putting green.

A hidden gem of sorts. A not highly recognized public course with a nice layout and always in good condition.

greens looked great. the pro shop was extremely small and had VERY LITTLE to offer as far as selection. The food area had a huge area for sitting but the counter for where you pay for the food was EXTREMELY small. You also couldn't open up a tab. However, I do believe they had just re-opened from a redesign or something so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If I play later on in the year, I can give an updated review. However, that seems unlikely since this course is at least 30 miles from my house and with gas prices like they are, I probably won't go back anytime soon.

This course is just OK in my book. I went there after not playing for a number of months to try and get my game back. The course was busy ( even on a Tuesday), play was slow, staff was good and in my opinion, this is a practice type of course.

Played 5 days after flooding so was wet but nice. Would like to go back under normal conditions.
